Kaiser Permanente Pediatric Occupational Therapist (0.5 FTE, Redmond) in Redmond, Washington

**THIS IS A PEDIATRIC OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY POSITION ONLY.

Provide comprehensive evaluation of patients conditions and develop goal-oriented treatment programs designed to bring outpatients to a normal or optimum state of health and functioning.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provides occupational therapy observation, evaluative testing, and assessment. Develops, provides, and documents a clinically and age appropriate course of treatment based on evaluation. Displays good judgement in implementation of treatment plan. Uses therapeutic procedures including patient/caregiver education in an appropriate and competent manner.

  • Maintains effective written and verbal communication with patient, care providers and other members of the health care team; and documents according to Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of Washington/department standards.

  • Contributes to the efficiency and productivity of the organization by managing own workload autonomously (scheduling, consultation, participation in non-direct patient care activities as needed or assigned).

  • Remains current in recent development of PT/OT techniques and procedures per specialist/generalist practice areas.

Experience

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy from an accredited school.

License, Certification, Registration

  • Washington State Occupational Therapy License by date of hire/transfer.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least one (1) year occupational therapy experience in all current modalities.

  • Master's degree in occupational therapy.
